Sister sizes are the sizes that surround your bra size. They offer an alternative size to try if your current size is not the perfect fit in the bra you are wearing or trying on. We all want a comfortable, well fitting bra that is supportive all day, everyday. SISTER BRA SIZE CHART
The sister size chart below shows how you can change your bra size and offers 8 alternative sister sizes to help you find a great fitting bra.
Example Sister Bra Sizes

Current size is a 42F then you can have 8 alternative sister sizes to choose from depending on how the 42F bra fits.

The band size feels ok but the cup is not the right size then you can go down a cup size to a 42E if the cup felt too big (this gives you the same back sizes and a cup size 1" smaller) or up a cup size to a 42FF if the cup size was too small (this gives the same back size and a cup size 1" bigger).

If the band is too tight and you want to increase the band size then you can try a 44E which gives you a 2" bigger back size and the same cup volume. You can try a 44F which gives you a 2" bigger back size and the cup will be 1" bigger. Alternatively try a 44FF which will increase the band size by 2" and increase the cup size by 2".

Band size is too big then try a smaller back size. A 40E will have a 2" smaller back size and 2" smaller cup size. The 40F will have a 2" smaller back size and 1" smaller cup size. 40FF will have a 2" smaller back size and the same cup size as the 42F.

Here are the 36 Bra Band Sizes and alternative sizes to try. eg If you are a UK brand 36FF (this will be a European size 36G) you can try size 34G as well as size 38F swapping between brands/styles.

Then you can see if either of these sister sizes are a better fit in the current bra, that you are finding doesn't fit correctly. Remember when going up with the back size you need to go down with the cup size to keep the cup size the same as the current bra size. Accordingly going down with your back size you need to go up with the cup size to keep it the same.

HOW TO CHECK A BRA FITS AS IT SHOULD
A well fitting and supportive bra will be comfortable but how do you know if the bra is fitted correctly? Have a look at the notes below to see how a bra should fit comfortably.

Straps – the straps should run parallel at the back and take the weight from the shoulders. Straps should not dig into the shoulders. Adjust the shoulder straps to ensure they are neither too loose nor too tight and they sit parallel at the back. When trying on a new bra always wriggle the shoulders to ensure the straps do not slip.

Underarm – snug fit at the underarm, not too tight and not gaping.

Cups – breasts should be comfortably encased in the cups. No bulging or gaping at the top or the sides. Always make sure the nipples are centralised in the cup. Put your hand inside the cup and lift and sweep the breasts. The nipples should be centralised and your breasts fully encased in the cups.

Centre panel – the centre front fitting should be snug to the chest wall with no gaps or digging in.

Band – the band should be secure and level all the way round, not riding up at the back. The band should sit snug underneath the breast tissue.

Wires – if underwired the wires should lie flat. You should not be able to feel the wires when you move around and touch your toes. Stretch your arms towards the ceiling and when you bring your arms back down to your sides , the wires should not dig in.
