It was lovely to meet Teresa today when she came in for a fitting and we soon got chatting about her new challenge.
At 81, Teresa has just started Couch to 5K. She enjoys walking the dog, but has never been into fitness and hasn't run for around 50 years - “not even for the bus!”
She's completed two runs of week one and is also doing strength exercises once a week with a personal trainer.
She also proudly told us, “Steve Cram tells me I'm doing well.” We soon discovered that Steve Cram is the voice she's chosen for her Couch to 5K journey - so when Steve says she's doing well, she's happy to take his word for it!
For Teresa, it's about staying active, maintaining her independence and continuing to do the things she enjoys.
After living in Spain for 22 years, Teresa moved back to the UK in December, and has decided it's time for a new adventure. She's set herself a wonderful goal: to complete the programme and then take part in a parkrun with her daughter and granddaughter.
